Jas is a chartered tax advisor specialising in VAT with over 20 years’ experience in practice with a proven track record of providing a high level of client satisfaction.
A large part of her services involves advising clients in the property and construction industries. She completed her law degree as well as the LPC before moving into tax.
During this time, she has invested in property both passively and actively by leading the delivery of various refurbishment projects.
The skills gained over the last 2 decades include negotiating with HMRC and other parties on behalf of clients, optimising clients VAT positions whilst managing risk, budgeting & structuring deals accordingly, business development and relationship building.
This skill set has led to her to upscaling the property business through the creation of the Cognisant Group.

Ruman has been a property investor for a number of years with a growing investment portfolio. He acquired his first property at the age of 24 and has created his passion in property by developing high quality residential properties that meet the needs of the end user and is a place that they can call home.
With almost 20 years of experience working in the NHS as a pharmacist manager, Ruman has transitioned into the property sector. By utilising his experience in management, sales and operations, he has a proven track record of delivering refurbishment projects within the existing portfolio on time and within budget.
As well as property, Ruman has a keen interest in self-development and mentoring. As a forward thinker with excellent communication and advisory skills, he has managed, trained and coached many colleagues to assist them in achieving their goals whilst also meeting the objectives of the relevant businesses.
